Upcycling ateliers
Old clothes in, new pieces out. Participants take garments that would otherwise be thrown away and turn them into something new.
Ateliers
A table, a sewing machine, a pile of clothes that were going to be thrown away. That is how our sessions start, and how they end.
What happens in the atelier
Old clothes in, new pieces out. Participants take garments that would otherwise be thrown away and turn them into something new.
We look at what fast fashion does to the planet and at what the EU Green Deal expects from us, then work out how circular models work in real life.
We look at where fabrics come from and what they cost the environment. Then we choose better.
Food and music from Andalusia alongside design traditions from other European countries. One shared table.
We debate. We run energizers. We give each other honest feedback. That is how the non-formal learning works.
Participants go home and run their own workshops with the toolkit from the project.
How a session runs
Everyone chooses garments from the pile and works out what the fabric can become.
Seams open, buttons kept, zips saved. Nothing goes in the bin unless it really cannot be used.
Cut, pin, sew. A mentor sits with each person while the piece takes shape.
Each piece gets shown to the room, with a short talk about the choices behind it.
Come and make something
